The Olympia-Rafah Solidarity Mural Project is an inter-disciplinary, interactive, multi-site public art project that will involve people on a global scale. ORSMP crosses borders and recognizes the unique relationship that exists between the people of Olympia, Washington, the people of Rafah, Occupied Palestine, and all people who struggle and work for justice. Community Painting Day, Sunday, July 26, 12-5

The Olympia-Rafah Solidarity Mural Project (ORSMP) is hosting a community painting day, Sunday, July 26th, 12:00-5:00 pm, at the mural site on the north side of the Labor Temple Building in downtown Olympia, corner of State Street and Capitol Way North. No experience is necessary and community members of all ages are invited to help lay the first brushstrokes of summer 2009!  Parents must accompany and supervise their children. Volunteers are welcome for a few minutes or a few hours to help prepare the mural background and should come in clothing appropriate for painting.
